The deepest darkest reason why OMG 2 has 20 cuts

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie OMG 2 has sizzled some controversies pre-release because of its script. After Adipurush, any filmmaker has to contemplate a thousand times before releasing a movie that has even the faintest tinge of religion involved in the theme, because of the offense people take as worshippers. Amit Rai has been courageous enough to bring religion and s*x education under the same umbrella in front of a sensitive nation like India.

The biggest reason why the CBFC is not granting a U/A certificate is because Akshay Kumar – clearly dressed as Lord Shiv – is seen delivering a scene including masturbation. S*x education with another person was a thing of the past. Off-late, there’s more awareness about self-love – normalizing masturbation. There’s countless s*x educators on the Internet that are consistently promoting the pleasures of masturbation, pushing stereotypes over the edge to put an end to shame associated with touching oneself. However, the Censor Board is playing their card extremely cautiously because of the religious aspect combined in it.

They aren’t sure if the Indian audiences are ready for a bold film like OMG 2 that mixes masturbation and sex education with God and religion. OMG 2 is essentially a courtroom drama that pushes a father to fight for a child against all odds and the case has the connection of sex education. Although the content was commended by the audience, it wasn’t nationwide. It was by a handful people who were open enough to welcome such controversial ideas. The entirety of the nation, however, doesn’t think alike. So, approving the movie as all-clear can jeopardize CBFC big time.
