Adah Sharma’s Kerala Story has been in the news recently due to several controversies. Many people in Kerala are opposing the release of this film Few petitions were even presented at the Supreme Court to Ban this film
But the Supreme Court refused to intervene immediately in the petitions against Kerala Story and directed the petitioners to approach the High Court. The bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud also suggested that the petition reaching the High Court should be considered urgently.
Three petitions reached the Supreme Court against The Kerala Story. The petitions came before the Chief Justice when Justice KM Joseph’s bench hearing the petitions against hate speeches refused to intervene urgently yesterday. Vrinda Grover, appearing for the petitioners, pointed out that the film is insulting to the entire society and presents non-facts as truth. It should be noted that the film is not based on actual events.
Despite all these controversies and hurdles, The Kerala Story preview screening was held at Shenoys Theater in Kochi yesterday. The team planned a show for a few special people and invited guests for this preview show. This is the first preview show of this movie in Kerala amidst controversies. BJP leaders and others watched the film. Ernakulam district president KS Shaiju and Shibu Thilakan were among those who came to see the film.
The Kerala Story is all set to be released on May 5, 2023.
