BTS’ Jin has concluded his mandatory military service. On June 12, he was seen leaving the 5th Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do, marking the end of his duty.
Warm Welcome from BTS Members
Despite their own military commitments, BTS members RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook made sure to welcome Jin back with warm hugs upon his discharge. RM added to the joyous occasion by performing BTS’s hit song “Dynamite” on the saxophone.
Celebratory Reunion
On June 12, RM, along with the other BTS members, visited Jin on-site to celebrate his official discharge from the military. RM shared a photo from the reunion on his Instagram story, humorously captioning it, “Congratulations on your military discharge Dad.” This playful caption had ARMYs laughing, as RM referred to Jin as ‘dad’ since he is the eldest in the group.
Heartfelt Tribute from J-Hope
Fellow band member J-Hope also commemorated Jin’s military discharge with a touching update. He shared a collage on his Instagram story, featuring moments of him meeting Jin at the military base post-discharge. The photos captured emotional hugs between J-Hope and Jin, with J-Hope captioning the update with “Proud of you (Jin)” and “Thank you for your effort (or hard work).”
J-Hope also shared an old photo of him with Jin, originally posted on December 13, 2022, when Jin had first enlisted. He captioned this nostalgic image with “Time flies,” reflecting on the journey they have shared.
Special Welcome Banner
Adding to the celebrations, J-Hope provided a sneak peek of a special banner created by BTS’ staff for Jin’s return. Displayed at the HYBE building, the banner read: “Seokjin, the most handsome man of the 21st century is finally discharged. You are finally here.” This thoughtful gesture further highlighted the significance of Jin’s return.

BTS’ agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, posted a heartwarming picture on Twitter featuring all seven BTS members reunited at the agency’s headquarters. The caption simply read, “I’m back,” with RM, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook all present alongside Jin.
