Tholi Prema is one of the vintage films in the career of Power Star Pawan Kalyan. The film has a huge fan base and in celebration of its 25th release anniversary, the film is set to be re-released in theaters tomorrow. Ahead of the film’s re-release, Tholi Prema director Karunakaran unveiled interesting trivia about the film.
Speaking in a recent interview, Karunakaran spoke about an interesting incident involving Amitabh Bachchan and the climax of Tholi Prema. Revealing it, he said, “The climax of Tholi Prema generates tremendous tension among the audience as the hero refrains from expressing his love until the end.
While watching the climax, Amitabh Ji became irritated and impulsively tossed his car keys at the TV screen due to the hero’s delayed confession. Jaya Bachchan ji, who was viewing the film alongside him, expressed her delight and applauded when the heroine returned.” Karunakaran said this incident was told to him by Amitabh Bachchan himself during their encounter at an event in Chennai.
