Triptii Dimri finds this difficult to do

Triptii Dimri, known for her compelling performances in films like Bulbbul and Qala, is set to venture into the comedy genre with her upcoming film Bad Newz. Co-starring with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, Triptii is excited yet nervous about this new challenge. In a recent interview with IANS, she shared her thoughts on attempting comedy, a genre she finds particularly difficult. “I have always done a lot of films in the drama genre, but I feel that as an actor, it is really important to keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself. I have found comedy a little difficult since the beginning,” Triptii revealed.

Despite her initial hesitation, Triptii is eager to push her limits and explore diverse roles. “In a way, it was really good for me,” she added. Her collaboration with director Anand Tiwari for Bad Newz has been a significant step in her career. Triptii expressed her gratitude towards Anand Tiwari, saying, “I want to thank Anand sir from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with the film because you haven’t seen me do comedy at that level. It was difficult for me, especially with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, as they are very talented and their comic timing is very good.”

Triptii Dimri’s Evolving Career and Future Projects

Bad Newz is a sequel to the 2019 movie Good Newwz, which starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. Triptii Dimri’s entry into the comedy genre with this film is a testament to her desire to diversify her acting portfolio. She acknowledges the challenges but embraces the learning experience. “It was difficult, but it was a good learning experience. I think in life, I would want to do different roles such as action, drama, comedy, and everything that is offered,” Triptii said.

Triptii Dimri made her big screen debut with Laila Majnu in 2018 and has since acted in films like Bulbbul, Mom, and Qala. Her role in Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal catapulted her to overnight fame. She has an impressive lineup of films including Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Dhadak 2.
