In the glamorous world of K-pop, fans do not often see genuine, raw emotions from their idols. But Jihyo, the leader and main vocalist of girl group Twice, has always worn her heart on her sleeve from day one.TWICE’s leader is moving on to another year as she celebrates her 27th birthday with ONCEs through an online party.
At midnight on February 1, KST TWICE uploaded an hour-long video of Jihyo with a mini party hosted by JYP Entertainment on their YouTube account before her birthday. To feel the presence of ONCEs, Jihyo ended her birthday video with a vlog showing her surprise appearances at a birthday cafe and pub that were prepared by fans for her birthday.
She interacted with ONCEs and even did a photo booth there. Although shy, Jihyo also gave a toast to ONCEs in the pub to wish for the success of TWICE for 2024. At the end of the video, Jihyo thanked ONCEs for making her and her birthday feel more special and that she hopes to see them again on her next birthday.
