Vettaiyan OTT release : South Superstar Rajinikanth’s much anticipated action thriller , Vettaiyan – The Hunter has released worldwide on 10 October 2024 in theatres in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada , and Hindi.
Superstar is back to silver screen with another action film, Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel. The movie follows the story of a Athiyan potrayed by Rajinikanth, a Superintendent of Police in the Kanyakumari district, who is known for taking down criminals with the help of his team and Patrick, a tech genius turned police informer.
The film marks Amitabh Bachchan much waited Tamil debut and includes versatile star cast from different industries such as Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Abhirami Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak , Sabumon Abdusamad , Dushara Vijayan, Rohini , Alencier Ley Lopez and many more.
The action entertainer received mixed reviews from critics who praised Rajinikanth, Fahad Fasil and Amithab Bachan performance and technical aspects, while the storyline and pacing received criticism.

The Tamil-language action drama film is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the Lyca Productions banner with an estimated budget of Rs 300 crores and is expected to collect more than Rs 800 crores.
With the star and hefty budget cast Superstar action entertainer is expected to break Jailer all time records, well we need to see if that hapens or not.
The Economic Times reported that Rajinikanth’s action entertainer is all set to debut on Ott platform Amazon Prime Video after completing its 30 days theatrical run .i.e on 10 th November.
The news is yet to be confirmed by the Vettaiyan filmmakers and Amazon prime Video It is reported that Ott release announcement will be made in a few weeks or a month after the theatrical window closes.
