Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk Reveal Earlier Titles of Bad Newz

Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk Reveal Earlier Titles of Bad Newz. The much-awaited comic caper, “Bad Newz,” starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, has been generating buzz among cinephiles. Helmed by Anand Tiwari and co-produced by Karan Johar, this film serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit “Good Newwz.”

The Evolution of Titles

Vicky Kaushal, known for his versatile roles, candidly revealed that “Bad Newz” wasn’t the film’s initial title. In fact, it underwent several iterations. Among them were “Raula” and “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam.” However, the team eventually settled on “Bad Newz” because it perfectly encapsulated the film’s essence.

The decision to avoid a direct sequel title like “Good Newwz 2” was deliberate. Vicky explained, “We wanted to maintain the spirit of a spiritual sequel. The film revolves around pregnancy and humor, much like ‘Good Newz.’ So, ‘Bad Newz’ felt like the perfect continuation.”

The Comedy Fabric Unraveled: Vicky emphasized that the fabric of “Bad Newz” aligns with the same comedic zone as its predecessor. Audiences can expect laughter, relatable situations, and heartwarming moments. Whether you’re watching with family, friends, or a loved one, the film promises two hours of pure entertainment.

Ammy Virk’s Take: “Bad Newz” with a Smile

Ammy Virk, who plays a pivotal role in the film, expressed his delight at the chosen title. He recalled hearing “Bad Newz” while shooting in Punjab and instantly feeling a connection. Although “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam” was also a contender, the team decided to scrap it for reasons they’ll discuss in a separate interview. Ammy playfully added, “We didn’t want people to share bad news with a frown. ‘Bad Newz’ should bring a smile to your face!”

Ammy’s Praise for Shah Rukh Khan: In the same conversation, Ammy Virk showered praise on Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan. According to him, every actor aspires to be like SRK—not just in terms of fame but also in kindness and humility. “We should all strive to be lovely human beings like Shah Rukh,” Ammy remarked.
