While Bollywood pinned all its hopes on Aamir Khan’s latest film Laal Singh Chaddha, it left all of them in pain. ‘Laal Singh Chadha’ that, came as a remake of the award-winning American film ‘Forrest Gump, was also dubbed and released in all southern languages last Thursday. The film opened to negative reviews and scored disaster, mainly in Tollywood.
The film also starred Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya in a cameo role. Interestingly, this film was presented by Megastar Chiranjeevi in Telugu.
On the other hand, there was a severe backlash on social media by the users, mainly by Hindus, asking Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha, for Aamir Khan’s previous mockery of Hindu gods.
Supporting this, BJP party politician and a famous veteran Telugu actress Vijayasanthi took to her Twitter and thanked those netizens who raised voices and helped boycott Laal Singh Chaddha.
In a series of tweets, she wrote, “Thanks to the devotees of this country who accepted the call of our nationalists and stepped in with slogans of ‘Bharat Mataki Jai’… and stopped the spread of hatred on this country, its culture and religion.”.
Her another tweet read, “Bollywood moviegoers all over the country must know Aamir’s intentions behind making such movies, and now it’s time for them to realize what will happen…if anyone makes films with such hidden agendas…!,”
Also indirectly marking Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi for supporting and for presenting this film, Vijayasanthi gave a strong Counter in the tweet. Representing same, she wrote,
“Aamir depended on the southern states and foreign markets to sell his film. No matter what and how many popular Tollywood heroes promoted him here, nothing worked in his favour. The reason being simple, it’s the realization among the moviegoers,”.
Also, Vijayasanthi in her previous tweets, before the film’s release indirectly pointed out Megastar Chiranjeevi for presenting the Aamir Khan film.
