After the Liger disaster, with a positive hope, Vijay Deverakonda teamed up with Samantha Ruth Prabhu for a film titled Kushi. Directed by Majili fame Shiva Nirvana, the film created a decent buzz with its title poster.
However after the title poster, there is no update on the film. Now as per the latest reports, this film has done a phenomenal non-theatrical business. Reportedly, Kushi has collected almost Rs. 100 crores through its non-theatrical rights, which is the first time for Vijay’s film . Also apart from Rs 100 crores, the theatrical rights will be sold for around 50 crores. So, the overall pre-release business will be around Rs. 150 crores.
Interesting is that, the audio rights of the film alone were bagged for a whopping amount of Rs. 13 crores. However, many are opinionating that this is all because of Samantha in the film and that is why Kushi managed to do this kind of pre-release business. Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling the project.
