According to the rumours in the film circles, Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal and Tollywood sensation Vijay Deverakonda could be uniting in an upcoming period action-drama titled Vrushabha. This enormous budget multi-starrer was announced earlier this year and the movie makers had revealed that the film is a father-son drama, Mohanlal will essay the role of Vijay’s father.
Mohanlal said in an interview earlier this year that Vrushabha, which will be helmed by Nanda Kishore and shot both in Malayalam and Telugu versions, will be a visual treat. He added that “he has been getting a lot of offers from Bollywood and Telugu for a pan-Indian film and this movie, which is replete with battle sequences and has a story that spans several generations in the movie plot.
The movie will go on floors only in late 2023 after Mohanlal completion of his second instalment of Lucifer titled Empuraan. In the meanwhile, Vijay aslo have a set of movies with him to complete. Recently he also got chance to act under Bollywood direction for two films.
The film is bankrolling by Abhisekh Vyas, Praveer Singh and ShyamSunder under the label of AVS Studios. Mohanlal is currently shooting for an action thriller titled Ram, which is directed by Jeethu Joseph and will be released in two instalments.
