Warnings For Theatres in Canada on PS 1!

The film is a medium that can have a huge impression on society. There is no doubt about it. But what if the films themselves are being stopped or the people playing them are threatened? This is what is happening in the so-called free world country Canada. As the Tamil magnum opus Ponnian Selvan 1 is gearing up for release, reports are emerging that theatre owners in major areas are receiving warnings from unknown miscreants regarding the release of the film. It is being said that those who have called are religious fanatics and are threatening the theatre owners that they will destroy the cinema halls if the PS 1 is played in them. And even warned that they will physically attack the staff of theatres personally.

Troubled by this, many theatre owners are said to have approached the police for protection and further decision ahead. The threats are said to have come mainly in the London, Kitchener, and Hamilton areas of Canada. While police have already assured the theatre owners that they will take care of the situation, there seems to be a general shiver in the complainants. Back in 2016, Thalapathy’s Theri faced these kinds of warnings for the first time and since then, it has become a common theme in Canada to threaten or warn people regarding movie releases.

It has to be seen how the Canadian government and Police, in particular, will act in this situation. Directed by Mani Ratnam, Ponnian Selvan movie is a two-part film that has a plethora of stars like Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Ra, Trisha, etc. Made on a huge scale, the film is being projected as the pride of Tamil Cinema. It will hit the silver screens on the 30th of this month.
