As the Tamil magnum opus Ponnian Selvan 1 is gearing up for release, reports are emerging that theatre owners in major areas are receiving warnings from unknown miscreants regarding the release of the film. It is being said that those who have called are religious fanatics and are threatening the theatre owners that they will destroy the cinema halls if the PS 1 is played in them. And even warned that they will physically attack the staff of theatres personally.
Troubled by this, many theatre owners are said to have approached the police for protection and further decision ahead. The threats are said to have come mainly in the London, Kitchener, and Hamilton areas of Canada. While police have already assured the theatre owners that they will take care of the situation, there seems to be a general shiver in the complainants. Back in 2016, Thalapathy’s Theri faced these kinds of warnings for the first time and since then, it has become a common theme in Canada to threaten or warn people regarding movie releases.

It will hit the silver screens on the 30th of this month.
