What Happened To Chatrapathi remake

Tollywood hero Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas announced his Bollywood debut a year ago. Interestingly, Director SS Rajamouli launched this film in Hyderabad in January month of this year. As reported earlier, the film is the official remake of Rajamouli’s Chatrapathi, starring Prabhas and Shriya Saran in lead roles.

Being directed by VV Vinayak in Hindi, the film is said to be being produced by Dhaval Jayantilal Gada under Pen Studios.

Everything went well here, but surprisingly, there was no buzz on the film right from many days. The film was supposed to begin the regular shoot in April, but it has now been put on hold.

With regards to this, Bellamkonda Srinivas had to face a terrible situation as his Bollywood debut film was shelved abruptly after being launched amid a grand event, running two shoot schedules. While some say the halt is because of some creative differences, a few say it is because of fear of makers that the movie may not get even a little buzz in Bollywood.

Whatever the reason, the film eventually has been ground to a halt. Meanwhile, even in Tollywood, he hasn’t signed any film. This actor, whom Netizens criticise for his selection of star heroines instead of a great storyline, seems to be not even in talks of any Telugu film.

So, we must wait and see when Bellamakonda Srinivas will come to the limelight again with his next film.
