It’s Rani Mukherjee we’re talking about here. Known for her fierce, marginalized roles in Bollywood with Hichki, Mardaani, and now Chatterjee Vs Norway. With her work. she’s gone way beyond just acting. She’s bringing a change, the strength to fight in women on screen and also on the street, by involving in women and children issues.
Rani’s most recent project, Chatterjee Vs Norway is about an immigrant Indian mother who fights the Norwegian foster care system and legal machinery to win back custody the of her children launched on March 17, 2023, on OTT with a worldwide collection of 36 crores.
Rani Mukerji says, ”I love to be a part of stories where the woman is the agent of change, where a woman is strong enough to take on a system and alter it for the good and where a woman dares to take on patriarchy, the so-called glass ceiling and smash it with her ambition and talent. These are the roles that I naturally gravitate to because I have always wanted to show women as fiercely independent builders of our nation.“
