Will the South Audience Save Bollywood?

Bollywood or the Hindi film industry is probably at the worst phase ever in its glorious history. A lot of landmark and legendary films have made Bollywood a leading industry in India and the world. But, ever since the makers lost their originality and started following the western style, the mass of the Hindi belt started moving away from them. The death of Sushant Singh Rajput on one hand and the anti-Hindu agenda, drugs addiction, on the other hand, have put the final nail in the coffin with the audience outright rejecting Hindi films. No matter how many films try to impress them, the Hindi audience is not showing any interest. In fact, they have shifted their loyalty to the south industry making good Telugu movies into sensational blockbusters.

Now, Bollywood has all its hope lies in Brahmastra. There is hope for them if this film goes on to be a hit. If this magnum opus too fails at the box office, then one must say that would severely dent the confidence of not just big-time makers of B-Town but the complete Hindi film industry. This is the reason why the Brahmastra team is continuously promoting their film in the south, hoping it will rescue them. In fact, the South might just save them. The advance bookings for Brahmastra are looking very good in the major cities of the South. Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore all have advance bookings being sold at a rapid pace.

In Hyderabad, even though the ticket rates are as high as Rs 325, people are not backing off. The content promotion seems to be working well in pulling the audience and if the movie does any justification for the hype, then Brahmastra will be safe. Even though the Hindi belt is rejecting them, the Bollywood people are now depending on the South audience to save them and with good content, there is no doubt that they will be saved. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Mouni Roy, Brahmastra’s plot line is very unique and the makers are very sure of the cinema’s success. It will hit the screens on the 9th of September.
