American spy action thriller television series, Citadel has created a lot of buzz on the internet since it started streaming. With a star-studded cast and an amazing plot line, the series captivated and thrilled the audience.
Well, here’s an exciting update about the show! Prime Video has officially confirmed that the show has been renewed for a second season. The first season had a number of directors, including Jessica Yu and Newton Thomas Sigel as well as Anthony Russo and Joe Russo on unspecified episodes. However, this season will solely be directed by Joe Russo with David Weil returning as showrunner.
Episode 6 of Citadel was released today, marking the end of season 1. The show stars Richard Madden as Mason Kane and Priyanka Chopra as Nadia Sinh. Both actors play spy agents who must come out of hiding to take down a powerful crime syndicate called Manticore.
According to Prime Video, Citadel is its second most-watched new original series outside the U.S. behind “Rings of Power” and its fourth most-watched program worldwide. The show has received mixed reviews from critics and the public alike.
An off-shoot series made in Italy and India, starring Matilda De Angelis, Varun Dhawan, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu is in the works. The project will be an interconnected global franchise.
