Extraction 2 is directed by Sam Hargrave and written by Joe Russo, Based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Ande Parks. it’s a sequel to the 2020 film Extraction.
Extraction which was released on April 24, 2020, on Netflix received praise for Chris Hemsworth and Randeep Hooda’s performance, cinematography, editing, and action sequences. It became the most-watched original film in Netflix history, with over 99 million viewers in the first four weeks. Due to the humongous success of Extraction, Joe Russo developed Extraction 2. After being presumed dead in the first film, black ops mercenary Tyler Rake returns for another high-stakes mission. Chris Hemsworth released a new poster on his Instagram.
Extraction 2 is produced by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo and is set to be released on June 16, 2023, on Netflix. Chris Hemsworth will star in Mad Max: Fury Road spin-off Furiosa. The extended cast includes Adam Bessa, Olga Kuryelenko Daniel Bernhardt, and Tinatin Dalakoshvill. It was rumoured that the Russo brothers were also working on the original story of Randeep Hooda’s character Sanju.
