As the producers of the Telugu Film industry are looking at addressing some issues, there have been a series of meetings in the producers over the past few days. But what the meetings are about has been a mystery till now. Finally, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has released a press note regarding the key decisions they have taken in the meeting. Interestingly, there is no point regarding the reduction in the remuneration of stars, which, in fact, is the real issue behind the sky-high budgets of the films. Anyway, there are a few other key decisions that the producers have come to an agreement on. All the decisions taken will be implemented from the 10th of this month. Some of the key decisions are:
The artists/Technicians won’t be given remunerations in the days’ measurement. All the remunerations will be including staff, local transport, local accommodation and special food etc. No extra amount will be provided other than the pre-fixed remuneration which will be finalised by the producer. Other than the agreed amount, no extra amount should be/will be paid by the producer. All agreements must be entered prior to commencement of shooting and all agreements will be confirmed by Chamber. All artists/technicians must adhere to the call sheet timings. Movie teams must maintain the daily report regarding shoot proceedings. As for OTT, Satellite partners and OTT platforms won’t be mentioned in the film titles or theatrical release publicity. At least 8weeks of the window must be maintained before telecasting in OTT.
