Jiya Shankar is an Indian television actress known for her popular roles “Dr. Iravati ‘Ira’ Pandey” in Meri Hanikarak Biwi(2017-2019) and as “Susheela” in Kaatela & Sons(2020-2021), now she is popularly known as BiggBoss OTT2 contest.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Jiya shared about her life and career. How she has been treated, and the reason why she wanted to enter the South Film industry, shared her experiences working in television shows and film.
Jiya Shankar has last seen acting in the movie Ved(2022), later on, she entered in BiggBoss OTT2. She choose to be a part of the reality show because she wanted to do some adventure in her life that is because her upcoming project had been pushed away a little and she does not waste time on vacation which gives her a guilty feeling. Talking about her career “I have enjoyed every role I played so far, although they are different from each other still I enjoyed them.”
She has been criticized for many things in her life and has been the victim of sexual assault during her 10th board exams. Talking about her love life she reveals by saying that it has not been that great. Later she adds “This generation is a little F****d up. People are confused, I don’t know or those are the kind of people I’m meeting, what it is, I have no idea but a lot of women or men can relate with me that this generation is F****d up.”
Jiya says she is extremely proud of herself as she can finally do something for her family and be the man of the family. And make herself a capable person who can handle everything on her own and doesn’t need to borrow something from others. Mentioning she had been watching all the recent South films, she says” I would love to work in South Films and I’m trying for it.”
