Plot Overview

Munjya draws from Maharashtra’s Konkan region folklore, set in the 1950s. The story centers around a young Brahmin boy who falls in love with a girl seven years his senior. When his family disapproves, he performs rituals in the jungle but tragically dies. Leaving his spirit to haunt the peepal trees. In contemporary times, college student Abhay Verma, who harbors feelings for a childhood friend in a relationship, finds himself entangled with the ghostly figure of Munjya. This blend of folklore and modern-day drama creates a compelling narrative that intertwines past and present.
