The giant ott platform Netflix teasing the fans recently has officially confirmed season 2 of its top-rated rated original series ‘Wednesday’.
The series Wednesday has already achieved a rare feat on Netflix. This Tim Burton’s supernatural horror comedy-drama broke the Netflix record for most hours viewed in a week, not once but twice.
The announcement for ‘Wednesday’ season 2 was unveiled with a video where Wednesday Addams (Jena Ortega) takes the viewers through her season one journey in brief, where she is hunted, haunted and mimicked millions of times across the internet. She also thanked viewers for the pure torture as it was in the series.
In season 1, one big villain down, in its finale episode. The finale episode of season 1 also shows Wednesday receiving threatening texts and creepy photos from an unknown number.
‘Wednesday’ season 1 premiered on Netflix in November and became one of the most successful series ever. In the first week, it raked in 341.23 million hours viewed and 411.29 million hours viewed in its second. And all this raises expectations for a spookier and more intriguing season 2.
