Shehzaada Daami shares his story: “Rajan Shahi called me his child before he terminated by contract.”
In a recent interview, Shehzaada Daami, who played Armaan’s character in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlatha Hain, revealed that he was ill-treated on the sets of YRKKH and also claimed that he has never been disrespectful to anyone. The actor also shared he never demanded a leave, all he asked for was to send him home on time so that he could get some sleep look fresh, and perform his role duly the next day.
Shehzaada shared, he used to stay on the set for over 16 hours. The actor revealed the show’s producer, Rajan Shahi never came and spoke to him regarding the problem. Shehzaada shares that a director was extremely disrespectful and used to ill-treat him very often. The actor shared that after taking a lot of disrespect, he took a stand for himself, and ever since then he was tagged as supercilious.
Shehzaada shared that one of the directors behaved very unduly with him and also his co-actor Pratiksha Honmukhe. The actor also claimed that director A whose name the actor didn’t want to disclose, came drunk to the set as they filmed for the episodes.
The actor added, “Rajan Shahi sir and I only had one direct face-to-face conversation during the mock shoot. He never saw me working on the sets. Whatever was shared by Rajan Shahi sir was all that he had heard and he not for once discussed with me nor asked for my version regarding the dispute and all of this has happened. Rajan Shahi sir called me his child before he terminated by contract.””, implying the production team terminated both Shehzaada and Pratiksha’s contracts and also questioning if the producer meant what he said when he regarded him as his child.
Shehzaada Daami also reacts to one of the cryptic notes he previously shared on his social during the interaction.
When asked,” You shared a story, saying,” I didn’t know my presence at a recent award show could disturb a person so much. lol #IYKYK, what was it about?”
“I felt bad this time, I was invited to an award show, and the kids from the show came to greet me, but then the awards team came to me asking, if I could take the back seat.” The actor further added,” I adjusted there. Eventually, I see Rajan sir taking my seat in the front row. I initially wanted to greet him and suggest that bygones are bygones and start anew.”, saying so the actor expressed that he felt humiliated at the award show due to the producer.
