Shiv Sena MLA Criticizes Bigg Boss OTT 3 and demands action

Shiv Sena MLA Dr. Manisha Kayande has expressed strong disapproval of the reality show Bigg Boss OTT 3, accusing it of spreading vulgarity. The show, notorious for its controversies and dramatic content, has recently come under fire due to the actions of contestant Armaan Malik. Malik, who is openly married to both Payal Malik and Kritika Malik, has been a focal point of controversy on the show.

In an interview, Dr. Manisha Kayande criticized the show for its inappropriate content, particularly targeting Armaan Malik’s behavior. “Bigg Boss 3 is a reality show. The shooting is going on. It’s an absolute vulgarity that is going on and that has been depicted here. The YouTube influencer (Armaan Malik) is also participating in that,” she stated. Dr. Kayande further elaborated on the negative impact such content could have on young viewers and urged the Mumbai police to take action. She emphasized, “This public display of vulgarity in the name of reality shows, how far is it correct? How does it influence young minds?”

Calls for Legislative Action on OTT Platforms

Dr. Kayande has not only sought police intervention but also plans to take the matter to higher authorities. She mentioned her intent to approach the Information and Broadcasting Minister to introduce legislation regulating content on OTT platforms. “We will also go to the information and broadcasting minister at the center and we will request them to bring in the law in this current session of the parliament on the OTT platforms. We have told them to arrest the actors and also the CEO of the show,” she declared.

The controversy escalated when a private moment between Armaan Malik and his second wife, Kritika Malik, was allegedly captured and circulated online. This incident has fueled the debate about the show’s content and its impact on the audience.

Payal Malik, Armaan’s first wife, responded to the viral video, defending her husband and criticizing the authenticity of the clip. She stated, “Whoever has shared the video claiming it is Armaan and Kritika’s I would request them with folded hands to stop. The video is edited. I have stayed at Bigg Boss house and I can say that there are no lamps like the ones seen in the viral clip. The blanket is also different. Those who have stayed inside the house will quickly understand that the clip is fake.”

As the debate continues, the future of Bigg Boss OTT 3 and its portrayal of controversial content remains uncertain. The actions taken by authorities and the show’s producers will likely shape the ongoing discourse about the responsibilities of reality TV and OTT platforms in maintaining ethical standards.
