The latest Bollywood movie The Kerala Story faced various issues for its controversial storyline. There were protests against the film. Not only was the film banned in West Bengal, but the film was also washed out of theatres in Tamil Nadu within three days.
Even though the film has been facing controversies since the first day of its release, on the other hand, it has been hunting at the box office. Also, when the film was criticized as an anti-Muslim film, the fans and celebrities who have seen the film clarified that it is not a film made against Muslims, but a film made against radicalism. It is noteworthy that while the film was banned in West Bengal, the producer of ‘The Kerala Story’ filed a case against it in the Supreme Court and lifted the ban. Similarly, the court ordered the film to be re-released in Tamil Nadu with proper security.
Now, three weeks after the release of the movie Kerala Story, it has been reported that this latest movie has joined the 200-crore club at the box office. Following this, the information about the OTT platform that has acquired the OTT rights of the film has now been officially announced. Although the OTT release has not been announced yet, it is expected to be released soon. Kerala Story is going to stream on ZEE5 soon and it is said that ZEE5 had acquired these rights for a whopping amount.
