The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 Trailer Out! At this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Fans were transported back to Middle-earth as Prime Video unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for the second season of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.” Showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, along with an ensemble cast, took the iconic Hall H stage to share exciting details about the upcoming season.

What’s in the Trailer?

The trailer focuses on the long-feared reemergence of the legendary villain Sauron. Signaling the return of darkness and evil to Middle-earth after years of hard-fought peace. Viewers caught glimpses of the creation of more of the titular Rings of Power. Forged with Sauron’s powers of deception and manipulation. But that’s not all—the trailer also teased fantastical creatures, including a young Shelob. An army of Barrow-wights, Hill-troll Damrod, a Sea Worm, and even Ents! Battle scenes promise to be pivotal to Season Two’s storylines.

The Plot Unfolds

In Season Two, Sauron has returned, cast out by Galadriel and left without an army or ally. Now, the rising Dark Lord must rely on his cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power. These rings will allow him to bind all the peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will.
