Vikrant Massey Reveals His Wife didn’t Recognise Him in the Poster Of His Upcoming Film

In Sector 36, a new Netflix movie, Vikrant Massey is scheduled to play a serial killer. Deepak Dobriyal also stars in the Aditya Nimbalkar-directed film, which was inspired by the Nithari case. Many were drawn to Vikrant’s appearance when the movie’s first poster, which featured him with a moustache and a killer’s glare, was unveiled a few days ago. The actor admitted to not even being able to identify himself on the poster when speaking with the reporters.

He revealed that one of his constant goals as an actor is to experiment with various personas in addition to fresh appearances. “Many mentioned how I look unrecognisable in the Sector 36 poster. Interestingly, after I shared it on social media, I asked my wife about it. She said, ‘Bohot accha hai. Kaun hai? (It’s really nice. Who is it?),'” Vikrant said, amusingly. Messy is Married to the actor Sheetal Thakur. They were blessed with a son recently.

In addition to the moustache, he disclosed that he wore lenses for the job, saying “thank you” to his director for helping him visualise this character. The director clarified that his objective was to become part of the crowd. They so gave him a generic glance, which is typical of guys, particularly in Tier-II cities.

A further question was posed to the actor if he managed to recognise the man he saw in the mirror and how he switched off from the chracter.

The actor, Vikrant Massey revealed that he was happy with his appearance. Talking about his wife,  He grinned and continued, “I know people will think I am exaggerating, but she was honestly shocked, For 10 minutes, she was zooming in on the photo to see if it was actually me. I think many people had the same reaction, and I am happy we achieved it.”

“As for the character, we are poles apart, but I have seen the world, travelled a bit, and am not unfamiliar with such people. There are many like him, with that mentality, around us. But yes, there were days when I struggled to play the part. There were nights when I couldn’t sleep. However, over the years, I have learnt how to leave my characters on set. It does shake you, but you manage to switch off, no.” he continued.

Netflix will begin streaming Sector 36 on September 13.
