With her characteristic wit, she mentioned that while she doesn’t read as much as her co-stars Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal, she has already given the book “Malice” to Kanika Dhillon for inspiration. “Hopefully, Haseen Dillruba baar baar aati rahegi and kabhi jaaye hi na (Haseen Dillruba will keep coming and never go),” she said, adding that fans can expect many more collaborations between her and Kanika in the future.
Praising Kanika Dhillon’s Craft
Taapsee also praised Kanika Dhillon’s unique ability to create complex, ‘gray’ female characters that resonate deeply with her. She shared that after working on Manmarziyaan, she realized Dhillon could make her do anything. The Haseen Dillruba franchise, in particular, holds a special place in her heart. “She writes my kind of relatable women so well. These are the women who’ll make mistakes but will own up to them and will be honest about the fact that they did something wrong,” Taapsee explained.
