Dr. Romantic is a hit drama for a reason, the series is based on the lives of dedicated doctors. The series has redeemed itself to season 3. The drama features Han Suk-kyu, Yoo Yeon-Seok, Seo Hyun-jin, Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Sung-kyoung, and Kim Joo-hun. The drama is directed, by Yoo In-Shik and Kang Bo-Seung.
The drama is certainly made with utmost sincerity every scene connects the other perfectly. A perfect example of story narration and professional screenplay would certainly be Dr.Romantic. The episode begins with a monologue cum dialogue of a shooter. The dialogue goes, “In this world, you can’t make it, even if you try. No matter how hard you try, there’s a line that you can never cross. Still, they say you should do your best. That if you work as hard as you can, you can make it. Why do they keep giving us false hope? It’s infuriating, what can’t be done can’t be done. You’re born with different circumstances and have different starting points.”
The above dialogue certainly hits differently and this is an intact example of how words have a greater influence on an individual. The starting monologue can make any viewer sympathize with the character no matter who it is, a protagonist or an antagonist. The entire episode is based on that one dialogue. From Seo finding the shooter to Dr.In-Soo grieving the death of the patient from the previous episode. Followed by Eun Jae’s anxiety and Eun Tak’s past everything adds on to justify that the Doldham’s staff is struggling as nothing is going their way.
Ahn portrayed the character of Dr. Seo impeccably, the small details that Ahn commences make Seo steal the limelight. From expressing how grateful he is to be a part of the Doldham family to gently patting the newbie on the shoulder with a sad smile, Ahn has projected them brilliantly.
The episode is the base for the upcoming episode, Doldham’s motive is to give their patients another chance to live, will Doldham stick to its motto, or will it lose an important member of the Doldham hospital, will be unveiled in the next episode.
