The power-packed action thriller turns 5 today. Saaho is a 2019 Indian action thriller directed by Sujeeth and produced by UV Creations and T-Series. It was filmed simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, stars Prabhas in the title role, alongside Shraddha Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, Arun Vijay and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
Saaho marks Prabhas’s full-length debut movie in Bollywood as he appeared in Prabhu Deva’s Action Jackson, marking his first Bollywood movie. Saaho also marks Shraddha Kapoor’s Tollywood debut.
The film received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics who praised the cast performances, action sequences, VFX and cinematography but criticised the script and direction. Saaho grossed ₹419 crore- ₹439 crore worldwide against its budget of ₹350 crore.
The Telugu version of the film became an above-average grosser, while the Hindi version was commercially successful, thus becoming the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2019.
