After she announced her engagement to her boyfriend Shane Gregoire, the daughter of director Anurag Kashyap sent her followers into a frenzy. Aaliyah made the news this year and the two appeared to be serious couple goals, posting a photo of her engagement ring and another of her sharing a kiss with Shane. Even though they have been together for three years, Aaliyah admitted that the first year was “hard” and brought up the issue that relationships are not always portrayed accurately on social media.
Aaliyah recently talked with Shane about marital problems on an edition of her podcast Opposites Attract and asserted that every couple struggles. We are one of the imperfect couples, according to Aaliyah. She described the challenges and how they were resolved, saying, “We had a lot of troubles when we first started dating. Our partnership has now lasted three years, and the first year was undoubtedly challenging. “We almost even broke up once because we were having so many problems,” she continued.
These problems were a result of harmful habits or tendencies we both had, which we had to break in order to get to where we are now in our relationship. Shane said, “We’ve come a long way in our relationship. Once we were together, a mirror was faced and all our troubles were instantly mirrored back to us.
