Jr NTR accepts that he did underestimated Janhvi Kapoor in the recent promotions of Devara. Devara is the upcoming film of the global star which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles.
He recently acknowledged that when Janhvi Kapoor joined the Devara cast, he misjudged her. In an interview with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the Telugu movie star revealed that he had assumed Janhvi, who was originally from Mumbai, could not have been familiar with the ins and outs of Telugu cinema. The actor also admited that he was taken aback by her performance. Janhvi was hailed by Tarak as “phenomenal.”

“I was shocked when I saw her. Ye ladki aayi hai Bombay se, kya pata hoga. (Although her roots are in South India), speaking in Telugu is sometimes (tough). But she was (snaps his finger to gesture he was impressed with her.) There was a scene in which this woman went all out. And Siva was looking at the monitor and he was looking at me (for my reaction). She was fabulous. I was shocked,” Jr NTR told in an interview.
Devara is Janhvi Kapoor debut Telugu movie. Janhvi already disclosed that she brought this initiative to life to work with Jr NTR. “I really manifested working with Jr NTR so much I think for one year I was like please mujhe mauka mile mujhe mauka mile and finally it’s happening!” the actress quoted in the trailer launch event.
The Devara teaser, which was just released, shows Janhvi’s pairing with Jr NTR. She has also shared the stage with the superstar in two songs: the dance-heavy Daavudi and the sentimental Chuttamalle. both the songs have received a great response from audience. Though the movie is the most anticipated film the recent trailer has given not so good response. The release date of Devara is September 27. Let’s wait and see how successful the film will be.
