It is known that well-known Tollywood music director M. M. Keeravaani and lyricist K. Chandrabose, whose ‘Naatu Naatu’ song for Rajamouli’s blockbuster has earned the prestigious Oscar nomination. The Telugu film industry decided to felicitate the winners at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad on April 9. SS Rajamouli, Rana Daggubati, Trivikram Srinivas, and many politicians attended the event.
Speaking at the event, MM Keeravaani said, “My wife used to always say that it is enough to live like Ramoji Rao at least for one day. Earlier, I was not excited to win an Oscar. But, when I met Ramoji Rao, he asked me to get the Oscars to India. Then I thought, if Ramoji Rao is giving so much importance to the Oscars, then I will have to win. That’s when I started feeling excited about the Oscars.”
Also lyricist Chandrabose became quite emotional while delivering his speech at the event. For the unversed, Keeravaani on January 12 received Golden Globe Award 2023 in the Best Original Song category for the song ‘Naatu Naatu’. On January 24, the song was nominated for Oscars 2023 in the Best Original Song category.
