Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie Oppenheimer has seen advance ticket booking number that touches the moon, beyond the sky. 4 days before its release, the hype is breaking through the ground of theatres. What started as a pre-release booking schedule 10 days ago, instantly turned into a rat-race to satisfy the first day first show craze. By today, July 17th, 90,000 tickets across all three multiple chains – PVR, INOX and Cinepolis – for the opening day itself.
Oppenheimer’s entry in Indian theatres is more awaited than anything. With non-stop revelations from Christopher Nolan’s side about the connection between Oppenheimer and his previous movie. After 20 long years, this is Christopher’s first R rated film. Oppenheimer is about an American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin about J. Robert Oppenheimer, a theoretical physicist who was pivotal in developing the first nuclear weapons as part of the Manhattan Project and thereby ushering in the Atomic Age.
The set date for its release – rather fiery – is July 21st, 2023. The release of another anticipated movie Barbie from international cinema has created a competitive clash between the fans of both. However, the wide difference between 16000 advance tickets for Barbie and 90000 for Oppenheimer speaks for itself.
