The Biggest celebration: 10th debut anniversary of BTS, Seoul to turn purple

BTS started up from nowhere and ended up being everywhere. ARMYs, get ready for the biggest celebration as BTS announces the celebration of BTS‘s 10th anniversary. According to the reports whole of Seoul will be colored purple in honor of the BTS superstars’ 10 years of journey.

BTS debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment with the single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. BTS was originally supposed to be a hip-hop group, but, seeing falling album sales, it changed plans.

The band members lived together, practicing up to 15 hours a day, and first performed before a small crowd of industry insiders in 2013. Big Hit allowed the individual members to express their individuality and allowed them to have input into the music.

On June 12, 2013, BTS released their debut single album 2 Cool 4 Skool, along with the lead single “No More Dream”, neither of which sold particularly well at the time.

The members put their souls and life into every performance to become what they are now. Their hard work got paid off and they have become the world’s sensation.

To celebrate their achievements, from June 12 to 25, prominent landmarks including Sebitseom, Namsan Seoul Tower, City Hall, DDP, and the World Cup Bridge will be irradiated in BTS’ iconic color, purple.

And on June 17, the main event will take place at Yeouido Hangang Park, inviting both the general public and the BTS fandom, ARMY, to join the festivities for the celebrations.
